About Us - Phuket Social Development Waqf Fund (PSWF)
The Phuket Social Development Waqf Fund (PSWF) was established under the supervision of the Islamic Committee of Phuket Province in accordance with the Islamic Religious Administration Act, B.E. 2540. Its primary goal is to foster community welfare across 7 core objectives:
To allocate profits from investments or Waqf properties to enhance the quality of life of the people in Phuket.
To promote education and provide scholarships to underprivileged youth and students in need.
To provide social welfare and relief assistance to the poor, orphans, vulnerable groups, and disaster victims.
To support public healthcare services and provide medical equipment to hospitals or local communities.
To promote sustainable occupational development and income generation for community members.
To maintain religious sites (Mosques) and support religious activities compliant with Islamic principles.
To support the operations and capacity building of social and religious network organizations, such as Local Mosque Committees and religious educational institutions.
